Personality
His travels lead him to Eorzea in search of his brother, who left ten years ago on bad terms with him and his father. At his father's deathbed, he reveals that the questions that plagued Lavi all his life lie with his mother, who went missing. This urges him to find his brother to seek closure, looking to find her together and learn about the circumstances behind their unwonted birth.Lavi is usually the level-headed and calm type, keeping to himself as much as possible. He chooses his words carefully and tends to be well-guarded when asked about his personal life. His appearance and presence tend to intimidate people, giving off the impression that he’s unfriendly. Despite this, as a frequent orator for his tribe, he knows how to negotiate well in diplomatic or business situations. If directly spoken to he's usually polite and terse; but will carry a conversation if the timing is right.As an adventurer he takes things in stride and goes with the flow. Having been raised in the Azim Steppe, he has a knack for combat and relishes in a good fight--honing his body so that he can prepare against worthy opponents. He has a tendency to go overboard and doesn't hold back, no matter the adversary.Due to the loss of his former friends and comrades in his youth and in his adventures in Eorzea, he has since then grown distant from others, fearing losing the people he cherishes. With the few friends he keeps close he is very much like a mentor--measuring their martial prowess and helping them improve so that they can protect themselves. He's often accused for his “tough love” kind of approach. This transfers into his work ethic as the manager of the Café Sourire du Matin.

He suspects his high sex drive—which also came with other unnatural perks—was an outcome of his and his brother’s birth. Their touch is enough to get their partners aroused, often leaving them in a lustful enthralled state which Lavi views as troublesome; interfering with more meaningful friendships and relationships. While the effect had its novelty, he grew more ambivalent towards the idea of sex as years passed, still seeking a spark that would genuinely please him. To alleviate this problem he often wears gloves and makes sure to cover his skin aside from his head and neck to reduce the amount of “accidents” that occur. This is one of the many reasons why he chooses to keep his distance from others as much as he can.(More information incoming!)

Luciel - The Miqo'te man that he found fatigued and starving in the streets. He took him in as an employee for his café, training him in the culinary arts and giving him a method of earning a living. He finds his antics and penchant for making mistakes a hindrance to business, but finds it endearing at times. His presence in the café made business boom more; his smiles and high praises for his boss making Lavi more approachable to his customers. Often concerned about the moral nature of his night job; Lavi has since been accepting of and even unfazed by the nature of his work. They now reside in the same residence; and as the days go by the usually stoic man has developed some feelings for him the longer they've steeped in each other's company. They were wed on the 10th Sun of the 3rd Umbral Moon (June 9).
Tessa - His mutual business partner. He supplies her with exotic or foreign ingredients that help run her nightclub business in exchange for information that he could only receive under the table. With said information, he finds odd jobs he can undertake to help those in need. He also tasked her with finding any information regarding the whereabouts of his brother. They often meet at the café to talk during his closing hours.
Jirou - His twin brother. He is estranged from him as a result of their father favoring him over Jirou during their upbringing. His attempts to be caring were met with vexation and they never got along even into adulthood. Lavi seeks to find him and reconcile with him after the passing of their father, wanting to seek the whereabouts of their mother regarding the circumstances of their unusual birth. The gravity of finding him has grown heavier since discovering that he was the cause of Luciel's recent injuries, enraging him.
Cici - The only childhood friend from his tribe that yet lives. In the past she tended to be a little too air-headed; having to get her out of many rough situations. Though aware of her own prowess in battle, he can't help but be overprotective of her so that she doesn't meet the same fate as their departed friends. Before each Nadaam they visit and pray to their graves out of respect and to receive their blessings.
